Call for submissions, MTV, Vancouver
Extra extra! Call for submissions!
I’m starting to plan a North American tour in February to promote the release of my DVD. I’m looking for somebody to do visuals on this tour. Obviously this would entail being on the road, I’d say for a good 3-4 weeks. And I’m looking for someone who understands the aesthetic that I’ve been working with in my projects so far, who has experience doing visuals for live shows and who can bring lots of creativity to the show. Please email me your submissions (info@djatrak.com). Thanks.
Now back to the diary… The MTV $2 Bill show was off the chizzain. I heard that they’re already airing ads for it on TV. I don’t want to spoil the surprises before the broadcast but we had some very special and entertaining guests that night. Later on we stopped by the Guitar Center Spin-Off, where Common and Kweli were performing, and Diplo and Madlib were spinning.
Made a pit stop in New York on my way home last Monday, and I checked out Roxy’s Screw York City party at Sway, where I caught up with Mr Catchdubs.
Then I played in Vancouver on Thursday and Friday for the 604 Hip Hop Expo, courtesy of my boy Sean Lalla. Shout out to Jay Swing and Flipout who put me on to Kobe, the high-end deluxe Benihana. I’m supposed to get pictures from that trip pretty soon.
Oh and to all the European homies, check out the Chromeo mixed CD “Un Joli Mix Pour Toi”, out now on Eskimo Recordings, and mixed by yours truly.
