Links galore. And France.
I’d like to start this update with a few links:
I wrote a diary of my Grammy experience for the Fader blog
MTV.com said that Tom Cruise liked my solo…
And GLC made this ghetto-ass iMovie masterpiece of a video for Chi State of Mind, which is the track I produced.
Now to pick up where the last update left off… I went to France in mid-January to promote the “Oh No You Didn’t!” CD. I’d been wanting to play in Paris for a long time and reconnect with the French cousins, but somehow there were always scheduling issues when I’d go to Europe. So I was really looking forward to this trip. And it didn’t disappoint!
On the really-real, that Paris gig for Clark magazine was one of my favorite shows in a very, very long time. The crowd was buck, they were getting down to everything, the sound was great… That whole week was off the heezy, despite some laptop headaches that made me reformat my whole joint when I got home. I gotta give a big shout out to Matthieu, Greg and the Disque Primeur team, to TTC (who hosted parts of my set in Paris) and to Akroe (who designed my CD). Such great hosts.
