I won a Beatport award!

April 30th, 2009

The results are in for the 2009 Beatport Music Awards and my remix of Boys Noize “Oh!” won best Electro House Track! Coooooool…. next year I’m going for Best Chill Out Track. 

Also in the Fool’s Gold family, Kid Cudi “Day N Nite (Crookers Remix)” won best Indie Dance / Nu Disco Track.

    Dear Mr. A- Trak,

    First of all i’d like to say congratulations on your award sir, dedication to one’s craft always pays off. Secondly, I know you probably get this on a daily basis but is there any way i could become an intern or work for Fool’s Gold in any sort of form or manner. I am a Zimbabwean born 19 year old who lives in Boston. I am one who loves all forms of music in all of it’s many molds and since i was 12 years old i knew i wanted to work in music. I would like to aspire to be a great business man and musician before it’s my time to pass. I feel i must make the point that i am not and will never ask you for a handout sir, i am willing to work to get where i need to go. I will do anything to be a part of your business sir, especially since it’s still in it’s earlier stages. If you read this sir and the thought of considering to allow me to work for you crossed your mind, thank you sir. In my heart there is not one doubt that i could be a great asset to Fool’s Gold. I know you are most likely bombarded with work but please consider this sir. If you are at all interested sir just reply to the post and let me know what, when, and where. As always i will come to this blog for my new new fix in terms of blogs and i will check everyday for a response sir.
