Free download from Adam Kesher

February 27th, 2010

Our French buddies Adam Kesher (that’s a band not a dude) are coming out with a new album on Disque Primeur, the label that released some of my mix CDs a few years back like Oh No You Didn’t! and Sunglasses Is A Must LIVE.

This album is a family affair, I actually mixed 2 songs myself and my brother did some work on it too. The song they’re offering here, “Hour of the Wolf”, was mixed by the great Philippe Zdar (whom I spoke about in this post).

Download it HERE.

Disque Primeur restocks A-Trak goodies

June 16th, 2009

Back in 2006 I released 2 mix CDs with the French label Disque Primeur. They also distributed my DVD Sunglasses Is A Must in France. Time for some restocking? Yes. I am happy to announce that all 3 releases are available again on their online store. (They can say “boutique” without sounding pretentious because it’s a French word and they’re French.)

SIAM cover

Sunglasses Is A Must DVD available here.

SIAM Live cover

A-Trak & The Rub Sunglasses Is A Must LIVE 2xCD available here.

Oh No You Didn't cover

Oh No You Didn’t (Live in Vancouver) CD available here.

They also restocked my buddy DJ Craze’s Bass Sessions CD, make sure you check for that too.

Catch An Attitude pt.2

March 12th, 2007

OK kids, here comes a big announcement. Are you sitting down? Of course you’re sitting down, you’re at the computer. Who computes standing up? Maybe you should get up to sit back down, just to get that “this is serious” feeling. You ready? Alright, I’m going in. (pause)

Links galore. And France.

February 27th, 2006

I’d like to start this update with a few links:

I wrote a diary of my Grammy experience for the Fader blog

MTV.com said that Tom Cruise liked my solo…

And GLC made this ghetto-ass iMovie masterpiece of a video for Chi State of Mind, which is the track I produced.

Now to pick up where the last update left off… I went to France in mid-January to promote the “Oh No You Didn’t!” CD. I’d been wanting to play in Paris for a long time and reconnect with the French cousins, but somehow there were always scheduling issues when I’d go to Europe. So I was really looking forward to this trip. And it didn’t disappoint!

2 new mixtapes for dat azz

January 20th, 2006

Guess what guess what guess whaaaaaat. I have 2 CDs coming out this week. Wait, what’s this? Something else than a battle record for you to purchase? That’s right folks. We’re doing it real big in the 06. Here’s the skinny.

Kanye West presents: GLC & A-Trak “Drive Slow

I got together with the OG Gangsta L and we put in beaucoup work on this-here mixtape. If you downloaded “Chi State of Mind” on this fine website a little while back, it’s a good indication of what you’ll find on there. Seeing that the general public only heard him on “Spaceship” and “Drive Slow”, which probably isn’t enough to see what he represents, I wanted to make a mixtape that really encapsuled GL’s universe… so if you’re a fan of Scarface, UGK, Three 6, this one’s for you. All original songs and freestyles, all mixed by yours truly. You can cop it at MixUnit. And if you’re a store or wholesaler, MixUnit is also the exclusive distributor so hit them up.

A-Trak “Oh No You Didn’t” (Live in Vancouver)

This is a live mix that I did right before jumping on the Touch The Sky tour, and it’s coming out on Disque Primeur, our good friends in Frenchie-land. It starts off with some live routines and then goes into a long mix set, where you’ll find everything from De La to Daft Punk, from Mann Parrish to Mac Mall. This is a nice little preview of the type of stuff you might hear on the Sunglasses Is A Must tour this Spring. If you’re in North America, Turntable Lab will be bringing it to our shores (and to your neighborhood stores) in about a week or so.
