Kid Cudi Afrojack Remix

We premiered this on the FG blog on Friday:
Kid Cudi ft. Kanye West & Common “Make Her Say” (Afrojack Remix)
Basically Fool’s Gold commissioned a remix package for this track and we’re happy to present you the first one, courtesy of the Dutch man of the hour Afrojack. I love how he kept the vocals and still made it a club mix. Great balance.
More remixes premiering very soon!

Recap of the Kidrobot signing
Last Wednesday Kidrobot hosted a signing at their NY store with myself and Dust La Rock for the launch of our Grateful Bear toy. Nylon covered it.

More pics after the jump, including a surprise visit from Kid Cudi…
Kid Cudi “Make Her Say” (scratches by me) on iTunes
The song originally leaked in this post is now available for your CD-quality listening pleasure on iTunes. The title went from Poker Face to I Poke Her Face to Make Her Say… but the song remains the same (Zoso).
Scratches by me. Pretty lettering by Dust La Rock.

Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Common & myself – I Poke Her Face (LowQuality Radio Rip)
I was home for 2 days this past week, between WMC and the start of my European tour. Perfect timing: Kanye sent me this joint and asked me for some “good ol scratches” (verbatim). I jumped on it immediately and here we are just a few days later, it premiered on Hot 97. This is a really low res radio rip but I like it because hey, I get plenty of shout outs! Thanks DJ Enuff.
I’m sure the CDQ version will be online imminently…

UPDATE: Here’s the official version!
I like the pic on Kanye’s blog too:
Do The Running Man
I can finally announce my record! The damn thing comes out in 2 weeks. Sooooo Nike does this series where they ask producers to make a continuous 45 minute piece of original music meant for people to jog to. I made one and it comes out June 24th exclusively on iTunes. The only catch is I don’t run. In fact I said it in the official press release:
“I don’t really run. Yet when Nike asked me to do this track I was smitten. There was a musical challenge there, and I got excited. I’ve been producing mostly uptempo electro tracks as of late, but my background is hip-hop and I think you can hear it in my choice of sounds. I wanted this record to showcase my current style, but I also didn’t want to stray away from hip-hop completely. That’s why you find guest rap verses in the mix, plenty of chopped & screwed vocals, and a hefty dose of drums breaks that are surely more block party than Ibiza.” — me
